How does BOTOX® work?

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the  wrinkles. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines.

How long does BOTOX®  last?

Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months. Your own results may vary – be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about what you can expect and when to schedule your next appointment.

Chemical Peels

Is chemical peel for me?

Chemical peel is a process of removal of the age spots, sun damage and fine wrinkles by application of a medical chemicals on the surface of the skin.

Is the treatment painful?

During the application of the chemical peel patient would feel burning sensation of the skin that feels like a sun burn for less than few minutes.

How many treatments would I need?

For most conditions at least 3-4 consecutive treatments is recommended. Treatments can be received every 2-4 weeks.

How do I care for my skin after the treatment?

Skin starts to peel in 2-3 days after the treatment and usually lasts for 3 days. During this time patient should avoid excessive sun exposure .

Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Is fractional resurfacing right for me?

Fractional skin resurfacing is a safe and effective procedure for almost any skin type. Fractional resurfacing can be applied to most areas of the body.

What does the laser treatment feel like?

Treatment sensations vary from person to person. As tiny pulses of energy are delivered into the skin, most patients will experience a warm sharp feeling and an immediate tightening of the skin. Most patients look and feel like they have a mild sunburn for a few days after the treatment. Anesthetic ointments and cooling devices may be used to reduce any discomfort during and after the procedure.

How will I take care of my skin after treatment?

Depending on the desired outcome, post-treatment care will vary from patient to patient. Most patients that have a full facial skin rejuvenation treatment will need to stay indoors for a few days while applying a topical ointment as directed by the physician.

What is JUVÉDERM®?

JUVÉDERM®  is a hyaluronic acid filler  to last up to one year.  JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gel is a smooth consistency gel dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds) —the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). JUVÉDERM® XC comes in two formulations—JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all mammals that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has also been used for more than 20 years for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.

How long does treatment usually take?

The injection process generally takes only about 15 minutes. You’ll also need to allow time to consult with your doctor prior to treatment.

Laser Hair Reduction

Are cheveux treatments right for my skin type?

The cheveux laser system has been precisely fitted with versatile yet very specific operations moods that your physician can choose from to safely and effectively remove the hair. It can be used on all skin types.

What do Cheveux treatments feel like?

With choosing “Smooth Flow” patients will feel a gentle heating sensation moving over the skin that will cause a thermal reconditioning shut-down of the unwanted hair growth. Patients describe it like a hot stone massage.

If higher energy pulse mode is chosen the patient may feel a slight stinging sensation similar to a rubber band snap on the skin. Cheveux laser has been designed to be gentle and virtually painless for all patients.

Can any area of the body be treated?

Yes, Cheveux has been designed to even be used in the most sensitive places like the bikini area, nipples, and tummy.

Are there any side effects?

The treated area may be slightly pink and tender to the touch but there is no downtime following the treatment and patients should be able to return to daily activities right away.

How many treatments will I need?

The actual number of treatments will depend on the genetic variants of the hair growth cycle of each individual person. But on average most areas will require 3-6 treatments.

After the treatment , how will I need to take care of my skin?

An SPF 30 sunscreen will need to be applied to protect the treated area from any skin discolorization and it is highly recommended that you do not pluck , pull or wash hairs you see in the treated area , as this will initiate a regrowth phase in the hair follicle.

Tattoo removal

What type of laser will be used for body art removal?

Ultralight-Q laser has been suited with an arsenal of light-baased wave-lengths that are specifically attracted to tattoo ink. The light will pass through the outer skin layers targeting only the embedded ink. Energy from the laser is rapidly absorbed by the ink causing the pigment to fracture into microscopic particles. Overtime, the body’s immune system will clear the particles from the skin causing the tattoo to fade and eventually disappear.

How many treatments will it take?

Not all body art is created alike; many factors are involved that determine the number of treatments needed, such as:

  • How long the tattoo has been on the skin. Newer tattoos are a little more resistant, while older tattoos are easier to remove.
  • The depth of ink in the skin
  • The type of ink on the skin. There are many different types of pigment that could have been used to create the tattoo.
  • Was the tattoo created by a professional artist or an amateur?

Professional tattoos will need 6-8 treatments , while amateur tattoos make take about 4-5 treatment.

The sessions will be spaced 6-8 weeks apart.

What does the treatment feel like?

Most patients report that the treatment sensation for removing a tattoo is similar to getting a tattoo.

How will I take care of my skin after the treatment?

An anti-bacterial ointment and ice will need to be applied. If a scab forms, it is vital that the area is never picked or scratched in order to avoid scarring.
